Company Information Our client provides software solutions for the power utility industry, focusing on device/data interoperability, cybersecurity, and operational technologies. This person will be responsible for implementing software solutions into customer environments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead customer projects, workshops, and meetings

Develop and execute system implementation plans

Configure and customize software products onsite and remotely

Perform system testing and customer acceptance activities

Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering issues

Document environments, requirements, and decisions

Provide training and technical support to customers and sales teams

Validate software releases and support RFP responses

Participate in industry conferences and improve deployment processes

Location & Eligibility

Candidate resides in the Raleigh, NC / RTP area

Willing and able to travel up to 40% (domestic and international)

Legally authorized to work in applicable regions

Education & Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent (required)

(Preferred) Microsoft certifications (MCSE, MCP, etc.)

(Bonus) Certifications or training in SCADA systems, cybersecurity, or networking

Professional Experience

5+ years of system engineering or integration experience (required)

Experience in customer-facing roles (workshops, training, support)

Experience leading or coordinating technical projects

(Preferred) Background in the electric utility industry

Technical Skills

Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, IIS, and SQL Server

PowerShell, JavaScript, Lua, or similar scripting languages

Strong understanding of network design, configuration, and troubleshooting

Familiarity with tools like Wireshark, Fiddler, or Postman

SCADA & Protocols (Preferred)

Experience with DNP3, IEC 61850, Modbus

Familiarity with SCADA devices (relays, communication processors, terminal servers)

Understanding of substation and distribution communication architectures

Project & Communication Skills

Demonstrated ability to lead workshops and gather requirements

Experience creating deployment plans, test plans, and technical documentation

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience working with cross‑functional teams (sales, software, project management)

Comfortable in fast‑paced, dynamic environments

Demonstrates a continuous learning mindset

Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $90,000.00 - $120,000.00/yr.
