Responsibilities The APRN or PA will work in a collaborative team effort to provide a complete scope of care for cardiology patients. This includes analyzing pathophysiology for various cardiovascular disease processes, developing cardiovascular diagnoses while formulating a treatment plan, and evaluating patient response to treatment, utilizing evidence-based medicine practices using quality, cost-effective care. Key responsibilities include: Seeing patients in both hospital and clinic settings. Educating patients and families regarding cardiovascular disease processes. Providing effective communication and presentation skills with the interdisciplinary team. Qualifications Nurse Practitioner:
Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current MN RN and APRN license and certification as an FNP or ANP. Doctorate preferred. Physician Assistant:
Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the MN State Board of Medical Practice. BLS required.
