Amentum . The successful candidate will be a facilities HVAC Technician for our client site in Groton, CT, delivering best-in-class customer service and operational excellence. Responsibilities

Provide preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on a wide variety of industrial or commercial facility HVAC equipment. Ensure optimal operation of mechanical systems by performing routine inspections, monitoring metering equipment, and making adjustments as necessary. Identify and correct safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential failures. Operate, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair ventilation equipment, pumps, fans, chillers, rooftop AHUs, split systems, compressors, refrigeration, and other mechanical equipment. Utilize the building automation system to track building conditions and equipment operation. Maintain efficient operation of all HVAC systems and recharge refrigerant, check for leaks, and ensure proper refrigerant cycles. Use strong mechanical and electrical skills to complete assignments; perform maintenance on HVAC control and operating systems as scheduled in CMMS. Respond to work orders, provide feedback to customers, and ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and industry standards. Follow safety guidelines including job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, and wearing PPE. Operate diagnostic instruments to support energy efficiency improvements. Maintain GLP where applicable and adhere to project schedules. Perform other duties as assigned by management or lead. What You Will Be Expected to Do

Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. Five years of experience as an HVAC/R maintenance technician in industrial or commercial environments, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and complete a fit test for respirators. Ability to obtain a security access badge at the client’s location. Strong computer proficiency with the full Microsoft product line. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license as required. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required. This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. Preferred Requirements

Technical degree preferred. EPA Universal Refrigeration License; S2 or S1 license. Experience in GMP or regulated environments (e.g., hospitals, biomedical, pharmaceutical campuses). Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematics. Experience with heavy industrial or manufacturing plant steam systems, chillers, AHUs, boilers, cooling towers, compressors, and building automation systems. Experience using CMMS; EAMS experience is a plus. Strong communication skills, including the ability to document information clearly. Physical/Special Requirements

Regularly lift up to 50 lbs; climb ladders, steps, and scaffolding. Repetitive motions: bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching; walk extensively in the plant. Work at an accelerated pace in emergency conditions. Wear PPE: steel-toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hat, and other gear as needed. Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with hours that may vary based on business demand. Benefits
