to work for a global leading firearms manufacturing company located near Nashville, TN. Our client is a world-renowned military & police force supplier seeking a
Plating Process Engineer
to lead the development, evaluation, and improvement of plating and coating manufacturing methods. Responsibilities Design and maintain concise process documentation to support manufacturing and quality processes. Support and meet development and production schedules, drive productivity and quality initiatives, and manage areas within budget guidelines and controls. Assist in determining proper manufacturing processes for cleaning, surface preparation, racking, part curing/drying, and handling to prevent damage. Convey technical understanding to production personnel through work instructions, product knowledge, and hands-on training. Evaluate manufacturing processes to improve product flow, cost efficiency, and First Time Yield (FTY). Analyze technical drawings and data, and suggest configuration changes to enhance manufacturability. Initiate action plans to troubleshoot and resolve recurring production problems. Support site initiatives such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and productivity improvements. Provide leadership, direction, and technical support on the production shop floor. Ensure production KPIs are maintained by providing engineering support to reduce downtime and increase output. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 2 years experience in a plating manufacturing role.
