Mechanical Analysis and Methods Engineer

Position Description:

Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Mechanical Analysis and Methods Engineer opportunity.

Job Responsibilities:

Analyze reactor core and core assembly behavior using finite element methods and document results in calculation reports Perform analysis for benchmarking test data and validating analysis methods Support methods development work with uncertainty quantification Contribute to software quality assurance of in-house and commercially developed software

Job Qualifications:

B.S. or Masters in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent 0-3 years professional mechanical analysis experience using hand calculations and finite element methods Strong understanding of solid mechanics and finite element methods Strong coding skills, with a preference for object-oriented programming using Python Strong communication skills desired The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect, and a desire to foster teamwork Actual position starting level and title will be determined based on assessment of qualifications.

Job Details:

Job Type: Contract Pay Rate Range: $53-$70/hr. Location: Everett, WA. Export control regulations require candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Legal Permanent Resident, or of a protected person status
