Job Purpose
Key Responsibilities:
As part of the Light Vehicle Electrification Business Unit (xEV LV BU), support integration strategy and planning of the components that make up an electrification eAxle and auxiliary components such as ePump, park-lock, shifting, etc. and ultimately create a system.
Support integration and qualification V&V of an electrified eAxle focusing mainly on functional requirements.
Plan, track and monitor all tasks related to system V&V team (i.e. ASPICE SYS.4 and SYS.5) and report out issues and results to the product owner and/or program management.
Work with the systems V&V manager/lead to create test environments necessary for execution of the integration and qualification testing of the system V&V (both internal and external labs).
Analyze requirements, create test specifications, create test cases, and execute them via HIL/SIL/MIL as needed.
Setting up the HIL/SIL/MIL system and perform tests (i.e. specify, compose and execute the necessary test sequences, test measurements and test experiments).
Support and align with cross-functional teams in development of system engineering, root cause analysis.
Support process improvements of xEV LV BU for system V&V, Incorporating Functional Safety, Cybersecurity and ASPICE as required.
Experience Needed:
3+ years’ experience in system integration and testing.
2+ years’ experience with HIL environments such as dSpace.
BS or higher degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
Planning and developing mechatronics systems including actuation, electrical and electronics, controls, software, testing and integration in the V model.
Establishing requirements and demonstrating compliance utilizing V&V methodologies.
Interfacing and planning mechatronics software systems projects with Stakeholders and Engineering customers.
Developing products incorporating automotive industry standards and processes including (ASIL, ISO26262), ASPICE.
Knowledge of electronic machines, power electronics and understanding of EV powertrain control strategies a plus.
Knowledge of HIL testing methodologies, Python scripting and tools (i.e. AutomationDesk, ControlDesk).
Knowledge of model-based software (i.e. Matlab/Simulink/Simulink Test/Simscape).
Experience in automotive applications and applicable interfaces such as CAN, and Flexray, LIN networks is a plus.
Experience with AUTOSAR architecture a plus.
Experience with Configuration Management tools (JIRA, Teams, SharePoint).
Experience with Requirements Management using tools (Polarion, DOORS).
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a high degree of intellectual horsepower.
