In this role you will lead the delivery of large, complex building projects as both project manager and lead engineer, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide project direction, engineering solutions, and expert client advice. The position offers the opportunity to drive engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in diverse building environments, while mentoring staff and ensuring project success. Responsibilities
Lead design efforts and analysis of electrical systems using engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations in accordance with code requirements and IMEG standards Perform site assessments and generate detailed technical reports Build and maintain client relationships through effective communication and understanding of project requirements Conduct in-process design reviews and implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry and client standards Train, mentor, and motivate engineering staff Provide technical assistance for field issue resolution with minimal support Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices; lead research and innovation efforts Prioritize safety and identify potential risks in all engineering work Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions Lead project interviews and presentations Required Qualifications And Skills
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, required Professional Engineer (PE) License required 14 years of experience minimum required, 16 preferred, in the building design consulting industry Adept in the technical aspects of one’s discipline; advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including principles of circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems Knowledge of Illumination Engineering Society (IES) Standards and reference resources such as NFPA, TechStreet, MadCAD, and Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) Advanced proficiency in Master Specification editing and software such as eSPECS Proficient with Adobe or Bluebeam Revu Ability to mentor, train, motivate, and lead others Ability to perform final quality control checks in their area of expertise Ability to develop client relationships and sell work Strong training and mentoring skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to travel with occasional overnight stays This position is not eligible for sponsorship. Salary Range $180,000-$225,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
