Grounds Maintenance Associates

to join our team. Overview

The Grounds Maintenance position is responsible for maintaining the overall exterior appearance and grooming of the property grounds, walkways and parking areas. This can include landscaping duties, snow maintenance and exterior building maintenance. Primary focus on guest experience and safety. Responsibilities

Operate vehicles and powered equipment, such as golf carts, lawn mowers, snow blowers. Shovel snow from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas. Care for established lawns by weeding, grubbing, edging around flower beds, walks, or walls. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes. Police grounds and common areas, remove litter daily. Maintain or repair using basic tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings, fences, or benches, using hand or power tools. Mix and spray non-restricted weed killer using hand sprayers, hand pull weeds. Monitor irrigation systems for proper coverage and report issues/breakage, water consumption and to prevent waste. Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters or other grounds features. Water lawns, trees, plants or flower pots or baskets using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans. Trim or pick flowers and clean flower beds. Rake mulch beds and dispose of leaves/debris. Repair asphalt potholes in drives and parking lots. Support departmental maintenance programs and execute daily, weekly and monthly checklists. Install holiday décor and lighting throughout the property. Maintain roof gutters and storm sewer drainage system. Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, And Abilities

High school graduate. Landscape experience. Basic hand–power tool experience. Excellent customer service skills, basic mechanical aptitude. Physical Requirements

See essential functions that outline the physical requirement for particular tasks that include but are not limited to: standing for long periods of time, pushing, pulling, lifting, shoveling, reaching and grabbing. Heavy workloads requiring the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force and the ability to regularly lift 55 lbs. Job Details
