The Perinatal Ultrasound Technologist specializes in perinatal sonography under supervision. Responsible for operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment to capture images of OB-GYN conditions and performing scans following AIUM guidelines. Assists with invasive procedures like amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling, and manages equipment maintenance, disinfection, and quality activities. Benefits
Sign-on Bonus: $2,500 Daily Responsibilities
Perform transabdominal and transvaginal fetal scans, Doppler studies, biophysical profiles, nuchal translucency exams, 2D/3D imaging, and cervical length assessments. Select appropriate transducers and settings. Expand examinations based on abnormalities detected. Assist with invasive procedures and review physician orders. Ensure images and documentation are correctly recorded and transmitted. Patient Care
Prepare patients, gather clinical info, and explain procedures. Recognize and address clinical or emergent issues. Follow safety protocols to ensure patient safety. Equipment & Facility Maintenance
Manage and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment. Perform high-level disinfection and maintain quality controls. Keep work areas clean and stocked. Qualifications
Experience
MFM sonography in outpatient settings. Education
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Sonography. Certifications
CPR/BLS - American Heart Association Fetal Nuchal Translucency - Fetal Medicine Foundation Sonography Certification - ARRT ARDMS Certification Skills & Abilities
Physical dexterity and fetal anatomy knowledge. Effective communication and attention to detail. Ability to work under stress and in sterile environments. Work Details
