Contract RN – Med-Surg/Telemetry – Night Shift- AL
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a professional nursing personnel to provide comprehensive care to adult patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, and cardiac monitoring needs in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for adult patients with diverse medical, surgical, and telemetry needs Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical exams, health histories, and cardiac rhythm interpretation Monitor telemetry and respond to cardiac rhythm changes, alarms, and arrhythmias Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed Monitor and document patient responses to interventions and changes in condition Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and adjust individualized care plans Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, procedures, and surgeries Provide preoperative and postoperative care, including wound care, pain management, and mobility support Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, discharge instructions, and self‑care Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards Respond promptly to emergencies such as rapid deterioration, arrhythmias, falls, or code situations Support patient advocacy and uphold patient rights and confidentiality Minimum Requirements
Current Registered Nurse License in the state of practice Minimum one year of professional nursing experience; Med‑Surg/Telemetry experience preferred Completion of Amergis' Competency Program (if applicable) Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred) Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring TB screening and health clearance (as required by contract or regulation) Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations Successful completion of new hire orientation and Med‑Surg/Tele training Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations Strong communication skills and proficiency in English Basic computer literacy Must be at least 18 years of age Benefits
