We are seeking an experienced Pathologist for a 42‑day locum tenens assignment in New York, starting Nov 24 2025. This opportunity offers day shifts from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will have expertise in surgical pathology and be comfortable handling a combination of surgical, cytopathology, and hematopathology cases.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am – 6 pm

Responsibilities and Duties

Perform diagnostic evaluation of surgical pathology specimens, including frozen sections

Participate in conferences and tumor boards

Review and sign out autopsy cases

Review and sign out surgical pathology biopsies, excision, and resection cases

Review and sign out cytopathology cases

Prioritize malignant cases and submit all first‑time malignant cases for daily intradepartmental consensus conference for peer review and concordance

Additional Information

Must hold a current license to practice medicine in New York

Required board certifications: Pathology - Clinical; Pathology - Hematology; Pathology - Medical Microbiology

Background in surgical pathology, cytopathology, and/or hematopathology required
