Responsibilities
Inspect gas meters and underground gas lines to detect leaks and corrosion.
Visually examine the equipment and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
Arrive on time for shifts and report any unusual findings correctly.
Job Details
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional overtime and weekend work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 per hour, with opportunities to earn up to $25.00 per hour based on performance.

Physical/Other Requirements
Stand and walk for long periods of time on varying terrain; bend and stoop; and lift heavy items as essential.
Walk 3 to 4 miles per day on varying terrain in all weather conditions.
When a leak is indicated, use a 5-pound plunger bar to prepare the ground so an instrument probe can measure natural gas concentration.
Use simple hand tools.
Work well in a team and independently.
Read and understand utility maps.
Proficient with technology (smartphone, tablet).
Must pass a drug screen, provide a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record.
CORI background check required.
Must pass Operator Qualification Test / part of training.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Travel Requirements
Travel is primarily local during the business day; some out-of-area travel and overnight stays may be required from time to time.
