Overview
Utility Inspection Technician (Indoor Inspections) (Maintenance) As leaders in the utility industry, concentrating on quality and safety, RECONN is looking for people to join our team who are problem solvers, take pride in public safety, and are comfortable in a fast-paced, exciting work environment. Location: New Bedford area. Starting pay: $22/hr. Responsibilities
Enter commercial and residential facilities to check gas meters and pipes for leaks and corrosion. Conduct visual inspections and ensure all required paperwork/data are completed. Forms may be electronic or paper. Report to the designated work area on time at the start of each shift. Identify abnormal operating conditions while on-site and accurately complete inspection forms. Adhere to daytime, full-time schedules; overtime and weekend work may be required. Participate in instructor-led training as part of onboarding. Qualifications and Requirements
Travel may be required at times (up to 60-mile radius of primary assigned location). Proficient with current technology, including smartphones and tablets. Effective communication in one-on-one and group settings. Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions; outdoor experience preferred. Ability to pass a drug screen. Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Ability to use simple hand tools and read utility maps. Benefits
