Job Summary The Project Superintendent (PS) will plan, coordinate, and supervise the field and/or administrative operations of projects. They will provide technical direction and have responsibility for safety, costs, productivity, profitability, and overall quality of the work (including self-performed work). The PS will establish productivity goals, measure performance, and schedule labor, materials, and equipment, including the work of subcontractors. This position may supervise one or more field superintendents. This role includes a progression of skill and experience with multiple levels.
Key Responsibilities
Review shop drawings, submittals, subcontract change orders, and purchase orders.
Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop the project management plan (PMP), including scope management, procurement, environmental, time, financial, quality, and safety plans, and risk management processes.
Conduct weekly coordination meetings with project teams and subcontractors; prepare daily field status reports.
Document constructability issues, potential design conflicts, and clarifications with the appropriate personnel.
Develop and manage the construction plan for successful project execution.
Ensure work is executed in accordance with contract terms and conditions in a profitable manner.
Interact effectively with owners, teams, and other stakeholders to maintain a positive project environment and client experience.
Manage field operations; be responsible for project success, including profitability, safety, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction.
Prepare and update the CPM Project Schedule and keep it current, utilizing LEAN processes and Weekly Work Plans.
Prevent and identify potential claims, quantify and document impacts, and mitigate/resolve issues promptly.
Provide leadership to the project team and subcontractors to ensure relentless execution of the project.
Develop and implement the Project Quality Management and Safety plans per Sundt standards within the PMP.
Ensure timely completion of punch lists and coordinate owner-required startup and commissioning of systems.
Minimum Job Requirements
Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills.
Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods), negotiations, engineering, cost control, scheduling, and safety.
Construction project and supervision experience on similar facilities.

Physical Requirements
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.).
Frequent ability to reach above shoulder heights and below the waist.
Occasional stooping, kneeling, or bending; occasional climbing of stairs or ladders.
Proficiency with telephone, computer systems, email, or other electronic devices to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors.
Ability to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
Will lift, push, or pull objects on an occasional basis; stand or walk for extended periods.
