Supplier Quality Engineer
who is passionate about driving supplier performance, solving problems at the root, and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. What You’ll Do In this role, you’ll be the key link between Yamaha and our suppliers, ensuring that the parts we source meet the quality our customers expect. You will: Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues, ensuring fast containment and resolution. Track and report supplier quality metrics and provide input for new model improvements. Conduct supplier audits and guide corrective action plans. Collaborate cross-functionally to minimize production impact and deliver solutions. Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates. Lead and support internal projects to improve overall quality. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a skilled engineer with the drive to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment: Education : 4-year technical degree (Mechanical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering) with 3–5 years’ Supplier Quality / Quality Engineering experience
OR
10–15 years of equivalent experience. Strong background in supplier investigations, corrective actions, and process improvement. Knowledge of ISO9000/IATF 16949 quality systems; familiarity with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and related tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven teamwork experience. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis for supplier performance trends. Commodity knowledge in powersports or automotive products is a plus. Why Yamaha?
