Role:

Procurement Supervisor The role manages the procurement process for an organization, including planning, sourcing, and negotiating contracts. Oversees the end-to-end procurement process, plans procurement activities to get the best value, sources and negotiates contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers. Manages procurement budgets, tracks expenses, and identifies cost-saving opportunities. Ensures the procurement process is aligned with company best practices and policies.

Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities.

Negotiate purchase terms and conditions with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness.

Create and issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.

Ensure mandatory Safety Training/Certification prior to starting any job or project.

Address and resolve issues or discrepancies related to deliveries or product quality.

Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers to ensure they meet contractual obligations.

Vendor setup process and supplier database management.

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and contractors across project planning, budgeting, vendor and contract management, and compliance.

Stay informed about market trends, supplier innovations, and emerging technologies.

Review and negotiate supplier contracts to secure favorable terms and ensure obligations are met and renewed as needed.

Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.

Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.

Continuously review and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaborate with departments (finance, operations, logistics, commercial, production) to understand procurement needs.

Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders for smooth procurement operations.

Qualifications

Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field.

Experience: Relevant experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a similar role.

Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Technical proficiency: Familiarity with procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Attention to detail: Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.

Bilingual (English & Spanish) highly desirable.
