Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Systems Engineering Manager 2 to serve a leadership role on the Support & Training (S&T) Segment Systems Engineering Team of the Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) program. This position will be located in Roy, Utah. What You Will Get To Do
Perform as the control account manager (CAM) for the entire S&T SEIT organization scope, managing a 1500-line IMS, 5 control accounts, and hundreds of millions of dollars in scope. Ensure EVMS compliance and build relationships between the team, segment leadership, and the business management office. Lead a small team performing special engineering initiatives to investigate efficiencies or perform short-term high-priority work as needed. Balance functional/organizational management of up to 10 engineers with maintaining a technical baseline of program work. Spend approximately 20% of time on functional/organizational support and 80% on systems engineering technical program work. Provide organizational administrative activities and support employees’ performance and career development through guidance and training. Direct program responsibilities will depend on the program’s technical work. This leadership opening is in Roy, Utah with up to 10% travel on occasion. Position Benefits

Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 8+ years of related technical experience At least 1 year of Control Account Management (CAM) and Earned Value Management (EVM) leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule 2 years of Systems Engineering and/or Integration & Test experience Experience managing people preferred Experience with Earned Value (EV) methodologies and their role in the work performed Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need These Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have
2 years EVMS experience 4+ years of both Systems Engineering and integration & test processes Experience with CAMEO, DOORS, Confluence, JIRA, MS Project, and Primavera Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision and to establish solid working relationships with technical staff, peers, and customers Additional experience with support equipment, sustainment activities, ICBM programs and/or strategic weapons programs Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SAP and/or SCI access Salary and Other Details
Primary Level Salary Range: $135,100.00 - $202,700.00. Northrop Grumman uses various factors to determine base salary offers, including scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply. Long-term incentives may be available for certain VP or Director positions. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company-paid holidays, and PTO for vacation/personal use.
