EH&S Specialist
Join CIRCOR International, Inc. as an EH&S Specialist at the Warren, MA site. This position reports to the Sr. Manager EH&S – Warren. The role focuses on risk reduction and improving EH&S performance and culture, ensuring compliance with all applicable EH&S policies, and resolving deficiencies.
Responsibilities
Promote a culture of proactive safety and environmental awareness.
Monitor and analyze work environments and processes for potential hazards.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on:
Development and implementation of EH&S programs and policies.
Incident and Near Miss investigations, including root causes and countermeasures.
Emergency response plans and drills.
Conduct and/or facilitate:
Safety audits and inspections.
Risk assessments and identification of hazards.
Training related to EH&S policies and programs.
Ensure compliance with:
Local, state, and federal regulations.
Management of safety documentation and records.
Regulatory agency and internal CIRCOR reporting requirements.
Advise management on recommended actions and improvements related to:
Safety and environmental concerns.
Safety practices and policies.
Manage and/or be a key contributor to:
Chemical storage, labeling, and disposal programs.
Safety Action Team.
Proactive Observation Program.
Site EH&S communications.
Stay current with:
Changes in environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Information and training for professional development and position skill set.
Execute other duties assigned as defined by the needs of the business.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field.
2-4 years of experience actively contributing to EH&S initiatives.
Proficiency in:
Risk assessment and hazard identification techniques.
Attention to detail and problem-solving.
Familiarity and working knowledge of:
Emergency response planning and coordination.
OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
Environmental compliance and waste management.
Ability to:
Manage safety programs and associated activities.
Work independently and build strong relationships as part of a team.
Analyze data and generate reports.
Effective:
Organizational and time‑management abilities.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Expected Travel
Minimal, and typically planned.
