About The Role As a Quality Control Inspector, you report directly to the Chief Inspector and are responsible for visually and functionally inspecting aircraft and components during all phases of maintenance within the Tech Ops department to ensure safety and adherence to company standards. You work in a safe manner, eliminate waste, and deliver a quality product on time. You determine aircraft airworthiness and return the aircraft to service in accordance with FARs and the JSX GMM.

Responsibilities

Obtain and interpret work cards, review inspection requirements, and complete visual inspections of aircraft areas opened by AMTs.

Provide safe, reliable, on‑time, airworthy aircraft that meet all customer requirements.

Complete logbook entries and release aircraft as airworthy for test flights or in‑flight operation checks.

Ensure crewmembers’ paperwork is completed promptly and accurately, using proper technical data, and send all completed aircraft maintenance records to the Quality Department.

Process and handle all parts according to the Company General Maintenance Manual (GMM).

Promote teamwork and cooperation with all crewmembers to ensure smooth operations.

Safely operate aircraft and ground support equipment (GSE) such as power supplies, hydraulic rigs, scissor lifts, and non‑powered stands.

Operate and supervise the use of special support equipment for removing and installing major components.

Ensure aircraft components and company property are securely and safely stored at all times.

Perform other responsibilities as assigned in support of operational needs.

Consistently adhere to professional standards and company expectations.

Ensure no inspector performs a Required Inspection (RII) on work they personally completed.

Initiate work orders based on inspection findings.

While on shift, ensure any rescheduled maintenance items remain within the time requirements specified in the applicable CAMP.

What Makes a Successful Quality Control Inspector

Detail‑oriented, safety‑oriented, organized, proactive, collaborative, critical thinker, entrepreneurial spirit.

Required Experience

High school diploma/GED.

5 years combined experience in inspection, maintenance, and servicing of commercial aircraft.

Experience in the use of maintenance reference materials, including manufacturer’s manuals.

Experience using electronic maintenance tracking programs.

Capable of interpreting drawings, blueprints, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and related documents.

Ability to occasionally lift 75+ pounds; work at heights above 10 feet; work outdoors; perform intermittent physical activity.

Available to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, late nights, holidays, and weekends.

Participation in initial and random drug and alcohol screenings per DOT and FAA guidelines.

Ability to travel to other locations to perform inspections; must procure own tool set.

Preferred Experience

5 years of experience on Embraer Commercial Jet Aircraft.

Skill, Licenses, & Certifications

Current and valid Driver’s license required.

Current and valid Passport required.

Current and valid Airframe and Powerplant Certificate required.

Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage high‑stress situations.

Strong computer skills, specifically in MS Office.

Pay & Perks Compensation is $43 - $46 /hour.
