Job DescriptionJob DescriptionRLC, LLC is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support our 145 Operations in Broussard, LA.
The position is 5/2, Monday through Friday, with occasional travel to field locations.
Incumbent supports the field inspection of aircraft and maintenance procedures to ensure conformance with the Code of Federal Regulations and RLC's General Maintenance Manual.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include : Other duties may be assigned by the Chief Inspector.
Inspect the work performed by aircraft mechanics in order to ensure maintenance is performed in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Department of Public Safety (DPS) procedures.
Perform serial number and equipment list checks
Review work orders and make appropriate logbook entries
Perform review of completed workorder entries and inspection forms for accuracy and content.
Monitor mechanic tool control in accordance with RLC's GMM
Inspect maintenance work on aircraft in order to approve the aircraft's return to service.
Research records and create FAA Form 8130-3
Write, execute, and disseminate FAA Form 337s
Weigh aircraft and update equipment lists
Document and compile damage for DER Repairs
Maintain and track aircraft bulletin compliance
Organize and maintain aircraft airworthiness records
Maintain local aircraft technical library and ensures dissemination of information to aviation personnel.
Retrieve and submit SOAP and NDT samples and manage documentation
Perform field base audits and vendor audits
Audit log sheets and inspection forms for errors and coordinate with personnel for correction
Identify and document premature component removals
Conduct audits of calibrated tools, equipment, and facilities to ensure serviceability, accurate calibrations and safe conditions.
Qualifications : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience : High school diploma or possession of a G.E.D., A&P Certificate, with a minimum of (6) years of experience as an Aircraft Mechanic.
Computer Skills : Must be computer literate and able to use Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and e-mail applications.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations : Current Valid Driver’s License. Possession of a valid mechanic's license with airframe and power plant ratings issued by the FAA.
Other Qualifications : Absence of violations of FAA regulations.
