Overview
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to provide advanced technical support for industrial 3D printing systems. This role goes beyond equipment repair, requiring expertise in system integration, process optimization, and customer applications support. The ideal candidate will combine strong engineering knowledge with hands-on service experience and the ability to build trusted relationships with customers. Key Responsibilities
Lead the installation, configuration, and validation of complex 3D printing systems Conduct advanced diagnostics and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues Optimize machine performance through process tuning and calibration Collaborate with customers to integrate 3D printers into their workflows and applications Deliver technical training to customer engineering and operations teams Provide expert-level remote and on-site support, including emergency service calls Document service activities, system performance, and recommended improvements Serve as a technical liaison between customers, engineering, and product development teams Travel frequently within the region (occasional overnight travel required) Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field (Associate degree with significant relevant experience will be considered) 2+ years of experience in field service, applications engineering, or equipment support (additive manufacturing, CNC, robotics, or automation preferred) Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and additive manufacturing processes highly desirable Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Professional communication and customer service abilities Ability to work independently and manage service schedules effectively Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally Compensation & Benefits
