The position reports to an office in the East Region (locations may include: Atlanta, GA; Buffalo, NY; Conshohocken, PA; Germantown, MD; Franklin, TN; or Tampa, FL).
Responsibilities
Perform the roles of a Project Manager including managing client relationships, contracting, project planning and execution, financial management, technical management, change management and project team management.
Provide technical support for projects including seepage and slope stability analyses, filter and drain design, Potential Failure Mode Analyses, Semi-Quantitative Risk Assessments, site inspection, construction observation, and regulatory compliance for hydraulic structures.
Plan, manage, and lead field investigations for hydraulic structures and embankments (soil drilling, rock coring, concrete coring, in-situ testing, test pits, etc.).
Prepare and perform quality reviews of deliverables such as design calculations, engineering reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
Perform engineering estimates for cost and project schedules.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on Dam Safety Engineering projects.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and develop engineering proposals.
Travel for project work part-time as needed.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with demonstrated coursework in Geotechnical Engineering and 6 years of related experience or equivalent.
Professional Engineer license in at least one state, with ability to apply for reciprocity in additional states.
Experience with dams and other hydraulic structures, including rehabilitation or new design and construction.
Experience with geotechnical software such as GeoStudio and gINT.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License and ability to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
8+ years in Geotechnical Engineering and/or Dams Engineering.
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Project experience with US Army Corps of Engineers or FERC.
Ability to complete the Managing AECOM Projects training and obtain the AECOM Project Manager certification.

Offered compensation will be based on location and qualifications. The expected range is
$125,000
to
$150,000 .
