Job Overview

As an Electrical Designer you bridge Estimation and Operations, collaborating with Estimators, Pre‑Construction, Drafters, and Project Managers through the design phase until hand‑off to Operations. KE performs Design Build projects nationwide across diverse industries including Biodiesel & Ethanol production, Grain storage, Fertilizer Terminals, Feed & Flour Mills, Dairy Processing plants, and Cement/Aggregate plants. Responsibilities

Verify vendor quotes and provide submittal packages. Participate in customer/client design review meetings and presentations. Assist in leading/managing engineering needs to ensure final product matches the “KE‑Way” design. Complete conceptual engineering and design for the following

Sizing conduit/cable to serve electrical equipment such as MCC’s, Switchboards, Panelboards, and Transformers.

Comprehend MCC BOMs and quotes to ensure sizing, layouts, and controller types are accurate. Comprehend Switchgear BOMs and quotes to ensure sizing, layouts, and over‑current protection types are correct. Build conduit cable schedules to serve

Motors, Controls and instrumentation devices. Branch Circuiting.

Medium Voltage Distribution systems such as

Vacuum Fault Interrupters. Metal Clad MV Switchgear. MV transformers. Various MV Cable Types and terminations.

Act as a bridge from estimating to operations or concept to reality. Qualifications

Experience with Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD, Smartsheets, and Procore. A knowledge of electrical and or automation construction practices or industrial electrical work. Knowledge of the National Electric Code – NEC. Manage project files, drawings, documents & records in our project system. Journeyman Electricians License or a degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related, or equivalent combination of field experience/education. Knowledge of motor control devices such as VFDs, Soft Starts, Networked MCCs, and traditional across‑line starters. Experience with special systems such as

Network cabling. Instrumentation. Fire Alarm. Door access/Security systems.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 – $110,000 per year, which reflects a good‑faith estimate based on market data and internal equity. Physical Requirements
