$50,000 – $100,000+ annually

Role Overview In this role, you will design, program, and engineer control systems (especially Delta Controls) for HVAC, security, and life safety projects. You will prepare system designs, control logic, drawings, and oversee integration. You will collaborate with sales, project management, technicians, and clients to deliver high-functioning, efficient systems.

Key Responsibilities

Develop control system architectures and design strategies, including hardware selection, network topology, field devices, and control logic.

Program and configure building automation systems (especially Delta Controls platforms).

Produce detailed control drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and network diagrams.

Specify sensors, actuators, valves, controllers, and other field equipment.

Perform software simulations, logic testing, and debugging.

Collaborate with project managers, mechanical/electrical engineers, and field technicians to ensure designs are feasible and constructible.

Review vendor submittals, equipment data sheets, and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Participate in commissioning oversight, system start-up support, and troubleshooting (as needed).

Document design decisions, functional descriptions, as-built documentation, and user manuals.

Stay current on new BAS technologies, standards (e.g. BACnet, Modbus, cybersecurity) and best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Strong experience in programming and configuring Delta Controls systems.

Solid background in control theory, BAS, sensors, actuators, communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.).

Proficiency in creating control schematics, wiring diagrams, and network designs.

Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently from home, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

Good communication, both verbal and written, and ability to collaborate remotely and with field teams.

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications

Master’s degree or advanced certification in building automation or control systems.

Previous experience in the HVAC / building automation industry.

Experience with cybersecurity and secure BAS networking.

Familiarity with energy management, fault detection & diagnostics (FDD), analytics.

On-site commissioning or field experience.

Salary Description $50,000 - $100,000/yr
