Overview
We’re looking for a skilled
Building Automation Technician
to join our team in
Miami, Florida . In this role, you’ll be responsible for the
installation, programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning
of building automation systems for a wide range of commercial and institutional facilities. You’ll work hands-on with
HVAC controls, lighting, and energy management systems , helping integrate these platforms into unified, efficient, and intelligent environments. The position requires a strong technical mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for solving complex system challenges in the field. Compensation Salary Range:
$75,000 – $90,000 per year Additional:
Relocation assistance and signing bonuses available for qualified applicants Key Responsibilities Install and configure
Building Automation System (BAS)
hardware and software components Program and calibrate
controllers, sensors, actuators, and field devices Perform
system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning Support
field operations and service teams
to ensure proper system performance Collaborate with engineers to interpret and implement
wiring diagrams and control sequences Document installation progress, configuration parameters, and test results Conduct site visits to verify functionality and compliance with specifications Stay current with
industry technologies, tools, and safety practices Qualifications Proven experience with
building automation or HVAC controls systems Familiarity with
Niagara, Distech, or similar BAS platforms Working knowledge of
BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks
communication protocols Strong understanding of
HVAC, electrical, and control systems Excellent
diagnostic and problem-solving
skills Ability to read and interpret
technical drawings and wiring diagrams Technical degree, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience Willingness to
travel locally
for installations and service work
