What You Get To Do The Mechanical Installation Foreman is responsible for leading and advising teams during the installation, upgrade, and repair of material handling systems. The foreman must have an advanced background in mechanical installations, advanced leadership skills, and the ability to deliver high‑quality work safely and on time.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Installation of material handling systems and safety devices.
Maintain and troubleshoot material handling systems based on engineered drawings and layouts.
Ensure adherence to industry regional standards for installation and safety equipment guidelines.
Comply with all relevant safety standards.
Ensure installation meets established processes, guidelines, regulations, and quality standards.
Complete assigned tasks within the project schedule or as directed by the supervisor.
Provide team direction, training, support, and feedback.
Assist with commissioning and testing.
Provide daily verbal and weekly reports to the supervisor.
Train and guide contractors on KNAPP’s standards.
Lead and instruct teams to complete work on schedule and to quality.
Maintain accurate records of work.
What You Have
Minimum 2 years of practical experience and knowledge in material handling systems or maintenance within the automation industry.
Advanced knowledge in industrial mechanical installations.
Ability to read and comprehend engineered drawings and schematics.
Leadership and communication skills.
Working Conditions and Environment
Authorization to work in the U.S.
Passport or ability to obtain a passport.
Professional office etiquette required at all times.
Travel required 100 % of the time.
Overtime as required by work.
Physical requirements: sitting for long periods, standing, walking, climbing ladders, speaking, visual acuity, finger dexterity, reaching at arm’s length, and lifting 50–100 pounds.
