Job Description Summary At GE Aerospace, we are a world-leading provider of jet engines, components, and integrated systems for commercial and military aircraft. We are dedicated to a future of safe, sustainable flight and rely on talented people to make it happen. The GE9X Design Engineering team is seeking experienced mechanical design engineers to contribute to the largest and most powerful commercial aircraft engine – the GE9X – as we advance toward entry into service on Boeing’s 777X aircraft. In a critical pre‑EIS phase, the Lead HPC Rotor Design Engineer will focus on product durability, validation, and entry‑into‑service preparation for the high‑pressure compressor (HPC). The role also supports a thermal‑survey test requiring unique component design activities.

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead efforts around product durability and validation; recognize and complete validation activities, own repair substantiation, support the leading‑indicator program, and partner with product support engineering for implementation.

Lead the design of HPC rotating parts unique to thermal‑survey instrumentation applications and routing.

Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements, including mechanical engineering for all products.

Apply best practices in engineering design and maintain awareness of market competition and differentiators.

Use technical experience and analytical thinking to propose solutions beyond set parameters, addressing complex manufacturing processes and interdependent production cycles.

Serve as a resource for colleagues, lead small low‑risk projects, and convey performance expectations while managing sensitive issues.
