Overview

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $80,000 - $120,900 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive. Schneider Electric in Cedar Rapids, Iowa is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Quality Data Engineer (Measurement Uncertainty Engineer is the term we use internally) responsible for developing and maintaining uncertainty budgets/data for equipment in our world class test Lab. Responsibilities

Assess and quantify the potential errors in measurements on equipment used throughout the Cedar Rapids Lab, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of data. Utilize established and proven methods like Quametec software to analyze measurement data. Identify potential sources of uncertainty, estimating their impact, and developing methods to minimize or account for these uncertainties. Ensure measurements meet specific standards and regulations, ultimately improving the quality and reliability of data used in various processes. Maintain Uncertainty Budgets on an ongoing basis as equipment is calibrated annually. Participate in Audits, and defend as necessary, Schneider Electric’s Uncertainty processes and results. Assist in writing or re-writing Procedures using Fluke software as required. Program test procedures using Fluke MET/CAL software. Assist Lab Quality Manager as requested and as necessary. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent with a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and computer science. Demonstrates experience in a Quality or Metrology organization writing Uncertainty Budgets. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office products is required. Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 standards for laboratories. Demonstrates familiarity and experience with Fluke and Quametec software. About Schneider Electric
