Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and hands-on Mechanic / Shop Supervisor for construction operations. You will be responsible for equipment scheduling, vehicle maintenance, organization of material deliveries, and assisting project managers and foremen with getting materials to project sites. This role involves supporting daily operations, preparing materials, scheduling, equipment maintenance, and vehicle upkeep. Responsibilities
Maintain and repair tools as needed Maintain and service equipment (scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers) Maintain and service vehicles (sales cars, pickup trucks and trailers) Maintain fuel and DEF levels in bulk tanks Maintain maintenance logs on all equipment and vehicles Oversee daily operations in the metal fabrication shop to ensure workflow efficiency, safety, and productivity Minor building maintenance and repairs Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Accept and unload deliveries and tag materials to the correct projects Order and pick up job materials/equipment as needed Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including shipping, receiving, and delivery schedules Manage inventory levels and monitor stock movement Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and transport companies Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and warehouse inventory Qualifications
Ability to safely operate equipment (forklifts, boom lifts, etc.) Mechanical ability to repair equipment Experience in shop or production supervision, logistics coordination, or a similar role Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent leadership and communication abilities Valid driver\'s license and clean driving record General computer skills for logging service records and machinery locations Ability to work under pressure and solve problems quickly and effectively Physical ability to lift and move materials Compensation
