Construction Shop Supervisor / Mechanic
We are seeking a highly organized and hands-on Shop Supervisor . This position is responsible for equipment scheduling, vehicle maintenance, organization of material deliveries, assisting project managers and foreman with getting materials to project sites. Experience is required and the role involves supporting daily operations, preparing materials, scheduling, equipment, maintaining equipment and vehicles. The B&C Commercial Team specializes in ground-up pre-engineered steel buildings, building renovations/additions and office space buildouts. Our Residential Team specializes in high-quality renovations, from kitchen and bath remodels to full home renovations and custom cabinetry. Responsibilities: Shop Supervision: Maintain and repair tools as needed Maintain and service equipment (scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers) Maintain and service vehicles (sales cars, pickup trucks and trailers) Maintain fuel and DEF levels in our bulk tanks Maintain maintenance logs on all equipment and vehicles Oversee daily operations in the metal fabrication shop to ensure workflow efficiency, safety, and productivity Minor building maintenance and repairs Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Logistics Coordination: Accept and unload deliveries and tag materials to the correct projects Order and pick up job materials/equipment as needed Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including shipping, receiving, and delivery schedules Manage inventory levels, monitor stock movement, and ensure timely procurement of supplies and materials Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and transport companies to optimize logistics processes and reduce costs Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and warehouse inventory Qualifications: General Computer Skills for logging in service records and machinery locations Ability to safely operate equipment (forklifts, boom lifts etc.) Mechanical ability to repair equipment Proven experience in shop or production supervision, logistics coordination, or a similar role Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent leadership and communication abilities Ability to work under pressure and solve problems quickly and effectively Physical ability to lift and move materials Valid Drivers license and clean driving record What We Offer: $32.00 - $35.00 an hour based on experience PLT and paid holiday 401k Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance Opportunity for career growth within a dynamic and supportive team A safe and inclusive workplace culture
