Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Repair and install all types of plumbing pipes and devices in accordance with the plumbing code. Rod all types of waste and drain lines. Repair related kitchen equipment and install new/used equipment including faucets, lavatories, toilets, flush valves, sinks, drinking fountains and domestic water heaters (steam, electric or gas fired). Install, repair and adjust steam stations of various types and styles. Operate appropriate construction tools and equipment. Cut, flange and thread all types of pipe including stainless, PVC, galvanized, black, copper, etc., and sweat copper pipe and fittings using various types of soft solder. Apply fittings and valves to all types of lines and construct anti-siphon devices. Medical air systems and repair of room med gas outlets. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge
Knowledge and use of high/low pressure steam systems Knowledge of building plumbing systems Knowledge of pumping and fire system protection systems Knowledge of all types of pumps Knowledge of computer maintenance systems and devices such as tablets Knowledge of medical gas systems and maintenance Skills
Able to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, service manuals and instructions as necessary to complete work Working knowledge of federal, state and local codes, laws and regulations applicable to the trade Abilities
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in performance of a job assignment Must possess physical strength and dexterity to perform work assignments Must be able to lift 20-50 lbs Disclaimer
