Our client, a trusted industrial repair & overhaul shop in Colorado and Utah, is looking for a
Rotating Equipment / Pump Repair Engineer . This role is all about hands-on work: dismantling, repairing, rebuilding, and testing rotating equipment (pumps, motors, gearboxes, impellers, turbines). If you’re the kind of engineer who loves getting inside the machines—diagnosing failures, rebuilding them to spec, and seeing your work come to life—this is the role for you. Responsibilities Lead repair cycles: diagnosis, teardown, rebuild, balancing, alignment, testing Apply OEM specifications and drawings to ensure proper tolerances & materials Work with quality and safety teams to uphold shop standards Assess repair vs replacement options; coordinate component fabrication when needed Mentor junior staff and support process improvements Occasionally assist with field jobs (removal / installation) What You Bring 5+ years of hands-on experience refurbishing pumps and rotating equipment Mechanical diagnostic skills (alignment, balancing, tolerances, wear analysis) Ability to read technical drawings and perform precise measurements Comfortable in a repair shop environment, collaborating with machinists & welders Safety-first mindset, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication Salary range:
$110,000–130,000+
