Maintenance Planner – Saint‑Gobain / CertainTeed
This role plans and manages production maintenance activities to support a continuous, high‑availability process environment.
The planner coordinates work orders, preventive schedules, and performance KPIs for the maintenance team.
Responsibilities
Prepare and plan maintenance department, service company, and contractor activities.
Verify work orders, gather information, and define scope of work.
Plan equipment downtime, man‑hour requirements, tool and part requirements while adhering to safety procedures, technical specifications, and best‑practice guidelines using CMMS.
Maintain a strong focus on availability and uptime of the production machines.
Assist with project scheduling for special projects as well as routine maintenance shutdowns.
Supervise maintenance and other employees as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in an engineering discipline preferred.
Minimum five years related mechanical experience in a continuous process manufacturing environment.
Proficient typing skills and expert Microsoft Office and Outlook usage.
SAP experience is a plus; must learn and use SAP‑type business systems and CMMS systems.
Familiarity with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) tools is highly desirable.
Adaptability to evolving job requirements and solution‑searching.
