The Atlanta facility is seeking a skilled Senior Process Controls Engineer to support automation initiatives, optimize control systems, and enhance process reliability across the site. Key Responsibilities
Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC, DCS (Honeywell Experion), and HMI systems Support daily operations by resolving control system issues and improving process stability Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to implement automation solutions Lead or support capital projects involving control system upgrades and expansions Maintain and update control documentation, including P&IDs, loop diagrams, and system architecture Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Root Cause Analysis tools Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to improve process efficiency and data visibility Provide technical training and support to operations and maintenance personnel Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Controls Engineering – Required 5+ years of experience in process control engineering within a chemical, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of PLC programming, DCS configuration, and HMI development Experience with instrumentation, control loop tuning, and data acquisition systems Familiarity with ISA standards, NFPA, and process safety systems Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills Experience with OSIsoft PI, SCADA, or MES systems is a plus Annual performance bonus up to 15% Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with 5% company match Paid time off and holidays Tuition reimbursement and professional development support Additional Details
