Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for various automation processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in robotics and automation, with expertise in electrical systems and controls design.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement control systems for automated processes Develop and maintain electrical diagrams and schematics Perform root cause analysis for system failures Monitor and optimize existing control systems Collaborate with mechanical engineers on device placement and integration Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical equipment and controls Create and maintain Bill of Materials for control systems Ensure compliance with UL and NEC standards Utilize software such as AutoCAD Electrical, RSLogix, and FactoryTalk for system design and integration Conduct system integration testing and commissioning of new equipment
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Proven experience as a Controls Engineer or similar role Strong knowledge of robotics and automation technology Proficiency in control systems design and implementation Experience with HMI, PLC programming, and monitoring systems Familiarity with electrical systems, including power and motors Skilled in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and SolidWorks Understanding of fluid dynamics and electrical designs Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
