Overview
This position is responsible for expert technical engineering review and analysis of water and sewer related development projects. Includes regulatory assessments, liaison responsibilities between the Water Resources Division and the general public, outside agencies, and other City Departments. Reports to Planning and Development Services leadership.
Salary Anticipated starting salary may be up to mid-point depending on candidate’s experience and internal equity. Mid-point $132,870.40 annually.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related Physical Science, including Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Environmental Sciences or Physics from an accredited educational institution.
Seven years of professional-level experience in one or more of the above areas.
Equivalent combination of education and/or job-related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted.
Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver’s license with no major citations within the past 39 months prior to the start date. Out-of-state driver’s licenses must be surrendered within 10 days of relocating to Arizona.
Obtain and maintain upon hire or promotion Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) by the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration, or by the technical board in another state; ability to obtain Arizona Registration within six months of hire or promotion.
Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during active employment by the City, regardless of remote work approval.
