Overview
Buildings and Systems Engineering Specialist at UPS. This position troubleshoots, calibrates, and adjusts plant floor equipment to maintain optimal performance. It responds to sorts calls and breakdowns, expedites their completion, troubleshoots automation software and communication protocols, provides support to maintenance mechanics, assists in solving daily problems in keeping conveyors and automated sortation equipment in good working order, and orders, receives, audits, and stores conveyor-related parts and components. Responsibilities
Responds to internal customers through radio contact. Responds to facility alarms and emergencies. Troubleshoots problems that arise. Performs preventative maintenance on automated sortation equipment. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree or international equivalent in engineering (STEM background) - Preferred Troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, motor control theory, and operation including basic AC and DC electrical troubleshooting - Preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office products Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and elementary diagrams Employee Type
Permanent Pay and Benefits
For this union-represented posting, wage rates and ranges and benefit offerings are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreement provisions. The starting pay rate for this position starts at $23.00/hr.
