Technical Lead – AI Model and Project Security Lenovo is a global technology leader building a smarter future through AI‑enabled products, infrastructure, software, solutions and services. This role joins the Chief AI Office’s AI Governance and Product Security organization and leads security, governance and architectural reviews for AI models and tools across Lenovo.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and maintain technical controls, assessment methodologies and documentation for Large Language Models and AI development tools.

Lead requirements, vetting and management of third‑party and first‑party AI security tools deployed in the development environment.

Develop and maintain technical security standards, reporting and documentation for the Chief AI Office.

Collaborate with CSO AI Security and Responsible AI teams on end‑to‑end security reviews and monitoring capabilities for AI.

Participate in incident response and product security operations as needed.

Support CSO IT Security and business unit security teams in deploying AI‑driven security technologies.

Ensure AI model and systems security programs are robust, effective and aligned with Product and Services Security Program requirements.

Occasional domestic and international travel (≈ 5%).

Basic Qualifications

10+ years in IT or product security.

2+ years experience in security for AI systems and Large Language Models.

Proven experience in security analysis, implementation and management of AI systems, including LLMs and development platforms.

Experience in threat analysis and risk mitigation of AI models within the product or systems development lifecycle, including incident response best practices.

Familiar with AI technologies basic principles.

Experience in deploying, configuring and managing network‑based security detection and response tools.

A bachelor's degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, software engineering, mathematics or a related field.

Ability to participate in incident response and product security operations as required.

Preferred Qualifications

Deep understanding of AI and development trends in the AI industry.

Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams, including IT Security and business unit product development teams, on AI‑driven security initiatives.

Remote‑based within the U.S.

The base salary range for this position is $150,000 – $200,000. Individuals will also be eligible for a 14 % annual performance bonus. Lenovo’s benefits can be found at www.lenovobenefits.com.
