Responsibilities
Protect Lenovo’s global network and support the deployment of AI-driven security technologies.
Design, implement, and maintain technical controls to safeguard systems and data.
Conduct technical security assessments for internal projects and third-party engagements.
Develop and maintain technical security standards and documentation.
Participate in incident response and security operations as needed.
Stay current with cyber security threats, trends, and best practices.
Ensure security programs are robust, effective, and aligned with organizational goals.
Occasional domestic and international travel (approx. 5%) for technical meetings and collaboration.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
System administration (Linux or Windows) and security engineering experience.
5+ years of experience in global corporate network administration and protection.
5+ years of experience applying cyber security and/or information security principles.
8+ years of technical experience in at least one of the following areas:
Web application development, deployment, and support
Cloud administration (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Tencent, Alibaba)
Network design, deployment, and administration
Preferred Qualifications
Current certifications in Information Security or Cyber Security (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, CEH, Security+).
Working knowledge of AI technologies and their security implications.
Familiarity with cloud-based AI service providers (e.g., Azure, AWS, AliCloud).
Understanding of cyber security control frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
Experience with generative AI platforms and solutions.
Proven track record leading global security initiatives.
Hands-on experience in cyber security operations, incident response, and vulnerability management.
Proficiency with a wide range of security tools.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Location This role is a hybrid role (3 days in office, 2 days remote) based in either Raleigh, NC or Chicago, IL.
Salary and Benefits The base salary budgeted range for this position is $150,000 – $175,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found at www.lenovobenefits.com.
