Sign on Bonus available* Powers Health is hiring for Environmental Services in Munster, IN. Under the direction of the Environmental Services Director, the environmental services assistant services the facility to assist in providing a clean, attractive, safe environment for patients, visitors and hospital staff.
Responsibilities
Perform all basic cleaning necessary to keep assigned areas in accordance with Joint Commission on Accreditation Standards. Duties include sweeping, mopping, stripping, scrubbing, refinishing, vacuuming, spot cleaning floors, cleaning and polishing surfaces, cleaning vertical and horizontal surfaces, collecting and transporting medical waste or clean/dirty linen, cleaning windows, changing window treatments and cubicle curtains, washing walls, maintaining environmental services equipment (floor scrubbers and vacuum cleaners), cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms during hospital stay and after patient discharge, assisting in pest control by reporting to maintenance, restocking sanitation products, moving furniture or heavy objects to provide pathway for cleaning purposes. Required Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. No experience required, able to read written instructions and comprehend verbal instructions given in English. Benefits
