GSE Mechanic . The Mechanic is responsible for timely repair and maintenance of light - heavy duty fleet vehicles, trailers, and various equipment to ensure a safe and efficient operation. This position focuses on Forklifts, Crown stand up lifts, and Big Joe walk behind lifts. Strong knowledge of maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of these three types of units. The position also requires a high level of proficiency in diesel engine diagnostics, brakes, tires, AC, and PM services. Compensation
Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday. $40.00-$55.00 per hour (DOE). Shift
2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM. Benefits

The majority of the work will be on Forklifts, Crown stand up lifts, and Big Joe walk behind lifts Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of these units Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to a fleet of light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty trucks The fleet also includes CAT equipment, generators, aerials, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment Perform services and repairs to diesel engines, brakes, tires, AC, and PM services Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare required safety documentation Comply with applicable laws/regulations and company policies/procedures Inspect and perform work on the underside of vehicles Access all areas of the equipment or vehicle to perform maintenance Move parts to and from the job site and install/remove parts on vehicles Interact with clients via email and phone as necessary Perform other duties as required Key Competencies and Minimum Education
At least 5 years’ experience performing vehicle maintenance or an auto/diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school Experience servicing and repairing CAT equipment, generators, aerials, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment is highly desired Experience with Peterbilt, Kenworth, Ford, Chevy, Linde, Hyster assets preferred ASE Certifications preferred Commercial Driver’s License Class - A (Preferred) Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly Must provide own hand tools & toolbox Knowledge of handheld scan tools and diagnosing vehicles Ability to read schematics and be familiar with related processes Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email Strong written and verbal communication skills Working Conditions
Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing duties Exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants Access to all areas of equipment or vehicles to perform maintenance Ability to move and position heavy objects Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles Ability to work outside in various weather conditions Application
