Title: Engineer in Charge (EIC) Department: Production SkyCam Business Unit: SkyCam Location: Fort Worth, Texas Reports To: Independent Contractor or OCE Job Type: Contract Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (KSE) is an American Sports and Entertainment holding company based in Denver, Colorado. SkyCam is a leading designer, manufacturer and operator of mobile aerial cameras systems. SkyCam plays a significant role in changing the way live sporting events are broadcast. The main duty of the EIC is to ensure the safe and effective deployment of the SkyCam system through sound processes and operations and effective communication between the Technical Operations manager and Sky-NOC. Responsibilities
Acts as on-site manager for equipment and crew at an event, and a point of contact for other crews/EICs in the field. Interfaces directly with the client, venue operator or other crew leaders to ensure safe and proper installation. Provides guidance to and mentoring of SkyCam crew. Capable of field repairs and directing other crew members with the setup and operation of the equipment. Familiar with the operation of all necessary tools and the various pieces and parts to assemble and rig the system. Works under the direction of the NOC & Technical Operations Manager regarding the deployment of the system and the maintenance and repair of the systems. Communicates all technical needs and irregular operations to the NOC and TOM. Provides final report on all live events and documents all deployments as required. Manages and participates in site surveys. On client job sites, responsibilities include equipment setup and operation, crew coordination, interfacing with client and venue personnel, equipment field repairs as directed, safe operation of equipment, completion of Tech reports, and reporting issues to the CTO. Also provides updates to site surveys as needed. Ensures all safety schedules and protocols are followed, including Pre-Flight, NOC, and flight parameters. Participates in meetings as required (staff, operational, organizational). Qualifications
Minimum High school diploma required. A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience, preferably in media, broadcasting, technical, engineering, or production industry. Proficient in MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Bachelor’s degree preferred (AS or Technical School acceptable). Ability to manage through complex situations in a professional manner as the field face of SkyCam. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with a strong work ethic. Skilled in the use of computers. Electrically and mechanically inclined, proficient with hand tools and electrical test equipment. Strong attention to detail and analytical and creative skills. Strong communications skills and eagerness to collaborate with different people. Comfort with a rapidly changing environment and openness to innovative ideas. Ability to work extended hours and weekends as required. Extensive domestic and international travel; must possess or be able to obtain US Passport.
