Overview Support all Manufacturing Engineering functions for North America powertrain battery tray/frame, casting, components, engine, and transmission programs. Their primary role is to participate within an Engineering team to develop and launch processes that meet all objectives for safety, quality, delivery, and cost for both new model (NM), non-new model (NNM), and adaptation programs.

Responsibilities

Perform assessments for process changes and related investment requirements for cost studies

Understand engineering scope definition, RFQ’s, sourcing, technical evaluations, design, manufacturing, and installation of air/mist/coolant collectors and filtration

Support and prioritize the Non-New Model (NNM) powertrain programs requests and ensure that approved programs are completed on time and within budget

Support all New Model (NM) program’s facilities aspects including site preparation and machine installation

Support flow activities on programs ensuring successful implementation and tracking of the Iron Triangle (Scope, Timing, and Cost)

Participate in the implementation of Stellantis Production Way (SPW) methodology, supporting all activities including deployment of advanced SPW tools and guide systematic root cause problem solving methods to attack risks

Development/improvement of process and equipment standards related to facilities infrastructure.

Manufacturing Plants located in Dundee, Michigan (MI), Trenton, Michigan (MI), Kokomo, Indiana (IN) and Saltillo, Mexico (MX); Transmission Plants in Kokomo and Tipton, Indiana (IN); Casting Plants in Kokomo, Indiana (IN) and Etobicoke, Ontario (ON), Toledo, Ohio (OH), while maintaining a relationship with the Global CoC initiatives.

Drive standardization across plants in all regions

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in a related technical discipline and 3 years of experience

Ability to work and interact with all levels of the organization

Strong oral, written, presentation and organizational skills

Ability to translate technical data and analysis into an executive summary format for presentation in easily understandable formats

Ability to embrace cross-functional teams responsible for developing, specifying, building, and launching powertrain manufacturing processes

Ability to effectively coach and mentor employees

Knowledge of advanced problem-solving skills and ability to manage data analysis to identify root causes and attack them to closure

Knowledge of cost studies and strategic planning

Microsoft Office intermediate or advance knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or technical equivalent

Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent

Preferred 10 years manufacturing experience, Powertrain Manufacturing experience a plus

Preferred 5 years’ experience in program management or multi-tasking environment
