About the Role As a 5G SA Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for validating and testing 5G Standalone (SA) Packet Core components in a lab environment. This role involves hands-on work with SMF/UPF, testing critical 5G/LTE interfaces and protocols, and gaining exposure to advanced technologies such as network slicing, MEC, virtualization, and containerization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and work with leading vendors like Nokia and Cisco. Key Responsibilities Validate and test 5G SA Packet Core components (SMF, UPF) and related interfaces. Perform functional, interoperability, and performance testing for 5G/LTE protocols. Work on advanced features such as network slicing, MEC, and containerized platforms. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Document test cases, results, and provide detailed reports. Required Skills & Experience 3+ years of experience in 5G SA / Packet Core validation. Strong understanding of SMF, UPF and interfaces: N4, N3, N2, N1, Rx, Gx, Sy, N11, N7. Hands-on experience with Cisco/Nokia Gateways and containerized environments. Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud-native architectures. Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills. Why Join Verveba?
