Performing System Safety planning, hazard analyses, and design analyses Briefing safety considerations at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval process Interpreting system requirements, customer specifications and military standards Preparing internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety program Collaborating across multiple disciplines to gain a full understanding of product architecture and design Interfacing with other engineering functions: Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering Assisting and attending System Safety Working Group(s) between Raytheon and customer representatives Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships) Experience with developing, implementing, and/or performing System Safety Program Plans, System Safety Engineering, Safety Assessments, Hazard Analyses or Hazard Tracking Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with DoD System Safety Programs e.g. MIL-STD-882 Experience with system and software safety implementation in Agile Development environment Experience interfacing with Human Systems Integration showcasing execution of Human Factors Engineering tasking involving MIL-STD-1472 Coding experience or the ability to trace electrical wiring diagrams Familiarity with radars, lasers or sensors What We Offer
