MFG MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (TPM EXP PREFERRED)
Lead the effective execution of all maintenance and assigned work/projects within the plant, including external properties, with a focus on optimizing all maintenance functions, including predictive preventive maintenance (PPM), spare parts, scheduling and performance. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and our Customer 1st strategy. Provide leadership that embodies our 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles. Responsibilities
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
2+ years of direct maintenance supervisory experience in the food industry
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Environment Protection Agency (EPA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements
Ability to protect confidential and sensitive information
Strong organizational skills and ability to define tasks with minimal supervision
Proficient Microsoft Office and CMMS skills
Demonstrate strong analytical skills
Effective oral/written communication skills
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering
5+ years of technical experience in the food industry dealing with preventive and predictive maintenance
Experience in continuous improvement activities
Plant maintenance supervisor – supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
Develop overall plans, including manpower, for major maintenance overhauls, shutdowns and projects
Support the development, control and tracking of maintenance budgets
Coordinate with planning/scheduling, inventory control and maintenance purchasing teams for all repairs, products, work schedules and meetings
Administer the PPM program and parts room inventory for all equipment, building and facilities through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Perform engineering analyses to determine the root cause of critical and repetitive equipment failures
Analyze equipment history and the line event data system to identify specific failures
Oversee the parts room to ensure adherence to company policies, availability of necessary parts, elimination of obsolete materials and adjustment/optimization of stocking levels
Manage the planning/scheduling of maintenance work using the work order system and CMMS; coordinate equipment availability/resources
Establish work measurement techniques and determine the effectiveness and improvements needed for the maintenance department
Maintain equipment and facility documentation/drawings
Provide support for assigned projects, troubleshooting and day-to-day activities
Communicate with Operations teams and vendors regarding equipment issues and capital projects
Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements
Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF Food Safety Systems
Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles
Must be able to work around ingredients and/or finished products known to contain food allergens
