Specializing in the design, permitting, and construction support of a wide range of bridge projects—including vehicular bridges, pedestrian crossings, culverts, and complex structural rehabilitations—we collaborate closely with state DOTs, municipalities, and private clients to meet evolving transportation and environmental needs. Responsibilities, Requirements, And Total Rewards What You’ll Be Doing Responsibilities As a valuable part of our

Structural Bridge Team , an

Entry Level Staff Engineer

will support a variety of projects and gain hands-on experience with responsibilities such as: Design, evaluate, and inspect new and existing bridges and support structures Support the preparation of plans, technical specifications, cost estimates, and reports Conduct field visits to observe construction, gather data, and assist with as-builts and record drawings Help review shop drawings and submittals, and respond to contractor questions Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver coordinated and constructible designs What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Passed your FE Exam and obtained your EIT certification, or planning to by June 2026 Relevant experience through internships in structural or bridge design, permitting, consulting, or construction observation Strong written and verbal communication skills Team-oriented mindset and a desire to contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects Preferred Requirements Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Experience with structural design software such as STAAD, RISA, or similar and experience using AutoCAD, Revit, or Microstation Familiarity with structural analysis concepts and coursework or internship experience in hydrology, hydraulics, or environmental permitting Familiarity with CTDOT or MassDOT standards and permitting processes Your Financial And Wellness Benefits Compensation is based on skills and experience as reflected in the pay range below The annual salary for a Staff Engineer 1 in Structural Bridge Design is set at $80,808 for a candidate graduating with a Bachelor's degree The annual salary for a Staff Engineer 1 in Structural Bridge Design is set at $84,968 for a candidate graduating with a Master's degree Annual Bonus, Profit Sharing, and Employee Stock Ownership Plan Best in Class Medical Insurance Dental & Vision Insurance Wellness Rewards and Reimbursements Tuition Reimbursement and Qualified Student Loan Paydown Contributions Reimbursements for Licensure/ Certification Preparation and Fees Summer Fridays Flextime and Hybrid Work Environment Pet Insurance and Adoption Assistance More Information About Tighe & Bond We provide a structured career path with opportunities for professional development through tuition reimbursement, internal training, conference attendance, and professional memberships.
