We are seeking a
Senior Sustaining Electrical Engineer
to support and improve a wide range of complex, highly technical instrumentation used for particle detection and cleanroom monitoring. This is a key role focused on extending product life cycles, improving reliability, and implementing design enhancements.
Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Provide electrical design updates and support for existing products
Troubleshoot and debug complex analog/digital circuitry
Work with embedded processor systems and peripheral interfaces
Lead multi-disciplinary teams on sustaining and enhancement efforts
Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Process engineering change orders (ECOs)
Maintain technical documentation, including test reports and design updates
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
Coordinate with internal and external design and manufacturing partners
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
10+ years of hands‑on electrical engineering experience
Proficient in schematic capture and circuit design
Strong knowledge of microprocessor systems and memory interfaces (e.g., FLASH, DRAM)
Solid understanding of signal integrity and analog circuit design (e.g., op amps, signal conditioning)
Experience with analog simulation tools (e.g., SPICE)
Skilled with test equipment (oscilloscopes, DVMs, function generators, etc.)
Proven ability to lead engineering efforts and cross‑functional teams
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience with ARM‑based 32/64‑bit embedded processor systems
Familiarity with Siemens xDx Designer or similar ECAD tools
Experience interfacing with FPGAs and peripheral protocols (DDR, SPI, I2C, USB)
Background in low‑noise analog and power supply design (DC/DC converters, power sequencing)
Experience with photodetectors and optical systems
Basic knowledge of C/C++ programming
