Job Summary

The Project Controls Manager will work collaboratively with their respective business units to ensure SMS policies and standard operating procedures are understood and implemented for all projects. The role also involves measuring and analyzing project performance metrics to mitigate risk and ensure relentless execution. Key Responsibilities

Coordinate compliance auditing of project-related governance required by the SMS and Project Management Plan (PMP) established by the project team and approved by the Business Unit Management. Drive Lean principles and practices throughout the organization as part of continuous improvement on all projects. Evaluate and propose updates to SMS workflows, forms, templates and system manuals based on interactions with project teams. Identify areas of excellence for best practices and lessons learned with potential for broader implementation across the organization, including training and support needs. Measure presence, functionality and value of project use of system software in applying SMS (e.g., Prolog, JDE, Textura and others as required). Optimize VDC companywide to improve parametric estimating, budgeting and scheduling results. Participate in business unit project status reporting (MPR & ELPR), including identifying actionable measures for improvement and lessons learned. Support development of data analytics and reporting formats to streamline auditing and ensure consistent SMS application. Perform analytical review and measurement of project performance metrics and trends to identify early warnings of risk. Provide BU support in developing and implementing recovery plans for critical project management performance deficiencies as assigned by PMO. Provide guidance to Business Units for consistent establishment and maintenance of Project Management Plans required by the SMS. Support development, training and implementation of key processes and systems. Collaborate with business units to ensure uniform understanding and implementation of SMS policy and SOPs. Minimum Job Requirements

Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Finance/Accounting preferred. Experience with large complex construction projects (>$50MM). Knowledge and experience in construction operations within Building, Transportation and/or Industrial markets. Knowledge and experience with scheduling using enterprise scheduling software; P6 experience is preferred. Knowledge of SMS and Sundt operations procedures. Minimum 7-10 years of relevant construction experience; 3-5 years with Sundt preferred. Proficiency in understanding and interpreting contract agreements, cost and revenue forecasting, risk identification and management, change identification and management, and cost estimating. Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and Prolog. Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills. Ability to wear personal protective equipment (e.g., steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest). May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis. May stoop, kneel, or bend on an occasional basis. May use telephone, computer system, email, or other electronic devices on a limited basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors. Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures. Occasionally will climb stairs, ladders, etc. Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis. Will interact with people frequently during a shift/work day. Will lift, push or pull objects on an occasional basis. Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day. Safety Level
