About the Role Pagaya sits at the intersection of lenders, consumers, and investors in the consumer credit ecosystem. We are seeking a Head of Product, Principal Product Manager to serve as a strategic and operational thought partner to the Chief Product Officer, driving cross-product initiatives that scale Pagaya’s platform and deepen its value across personal loans, auto finance, and point-of-sale (POS) lending. This is a senior individual contributor role — ideal for a highly accomplished product leader who thrives on connecting strategic insight with executional rigor. You’ll influence Pagaya’s product direction, partner with executives across Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Capital Markets, and own initiatives critical to the company’s growth trajectory.

Responsibilities

Partner directly with the Chief Product Officer to define and drive key strategic initiatives across Pagaya’s product ecosystem.

Translate company and business objectives into actionable product strategies, frameworks, and roadmaps that guide execution across teams.

Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on product direction, trade-offs, and prioritization.

Monitor market, regulatory, and competitive trends to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

Execution & Delivery

Lead complex, cross-functional product initiatives — from concept to delivery — ensuring measurable business outcomes.

Develop clear, data-driven roadmaps aligned with growth, scalability, and partner success.

Engage deeply with Engineering and Data Science to design, validate, and launch scalable systems and platforms.

Use a metrics-driven approach to define success, measure performance, and iterate quickly based on feedback and data insights.

Customer, Partner & Market Focus

Collaborate with Pagaya’s partners — banks, fintechs, and investors — to understand needs, identify leverage points, and shape new opportunities.

Distill customer insights and partner feedback into clear product requirements and strategic recommendations.

Represent Pagaya’s product vision with credibility and impact in executive and external discussions.

Serve as a role model for product excellence — combining analytical depth, curiosity, and executional discipline.

Drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation across Product, Engineering, and Business teams.

Mentor emerging PMs and cross-functional partners to elevate product thinking and strategic rigor.

Requirements

10+ years of progressive product management experience, including time in high-growth fintech or consumer lending environments (e.g., SoFi, affirm, or similar).

Proven success driving strategy and execution for complex, multi-stakeholder products — ideally within lending, banking, or credit ecosystems.

Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and synthesize complex ideas clearly.

Deep technical fluency — able to engage confidently with engineering and data teams on architecture, scalability, and trade-offs.

Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic IC: self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to move seamlessly between strategy and execution.

Analytical and data-driven mindset with a disciplined approach to decision-making and prioritization.

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Based in or able to regularly travel to New York City.
